Lead hands-on afterschool STEM classes and tutor K–8 students in the Bronx. This is a generalist role for someone who loves helping kids learn by building and creating.
What you’ll teach (based on your strengths)
- Coding: Scratch, Code.org
- Game design: Roblox Studio, Minecraft Education
- Hardware and electronics: micro:bit (MakeCode)
- 3D design and printing: Tinkercad
- AI basics, used safely and creatively
- Tinkering and engineering challenges
- Math and science homework help
You don’t need to know every tool. Strength in a few is enough.
What we’re looking for
- Knowledge in at least two of the areas above
- Experience with kids: tutoring, coaching, camp or clubs
- Patience, energy, and the ability to explain things simply
- 18+
- Spanish is a plus
- Background Clearance: All instructors must be cleared by the NYC Department of Health (fingerprinting) before starting. We’ll guide you through the process.

- Weekday afternoons (about 2:30–6:00 PM); you choose your days
